Training time
Time spent by an employee in training that is required by the employer or by law is counted as work time.
트레이닝 시간도 무조건 시급 나와야 함.
Eating periods
An employee must not work for more than five hours in a row without getting a 30-minute eating period (meal break) free from work. However, if the employer and employee agree, the eating period can be split into two eating periods within every five consecutive hours. Together these must total at least 30 minutes.
5시간 이상 근무시 최소 30분 점심시간.
Potable Water
9.24 Every employer shall provide potable water for drinking, personal washing and food preparation that meets the standards set out in the Guidelines for Canadian Drinking Water Quality 1978, published by authority of the Minister of National Health and Welfare.
마실 물, 씻을 물, 조리용 물 제공 의무.
Minimum wage rates
New
Effective October 1, 2022, minimum wage rates in Ontario have increased.
General minimum wage $15.50 per hour.
Student minimum wage $14.60 per hour.
Liquor servers minimum wage $15.50 per hour.

Premium pay
Premium pay is 1½ times an employee's regular rate of pay. If an employee is entitled to receive premium pay for work on a public holiday, they must be paid 1½ times their regular rate of pay for each hour worked.
Ontario has nine public holidays:
- New Year's Day
- Family Day
- Good Friday
- Victoria Day
- Canada Day
- Labour Day
- Thanksgiving Day
- Christmas Day
- Boxing Day (December 26)
Most employees who qualify are entitled to take these days off work and be paid public holiday pay.

The right to keep tips and other gratuities
As of June 10, 2016, an employer generally cannot withhold, make deductions from, or make an employee return their tips and other gratuities except as permitted by the ESA.
사장은 팁을 깎거나 안주고 버틸 수 없음.
